Constro 2000 the 7^th International Conference on Construction Technologies, Machinery Materials, methods and Building Services aimed to focus and accelerate the information about the up-coming Construction Technologies available in India and abroad to the technology seekers and technology suppliers at one platform as well as to suggest solutions to the various bottlenecks encountered by the Construction Industry for bringing improvement in the development of infrastructural services in the country.  Constro 2000 also helped to bring the foreign participants to enter the multi-billion dollar Indian Market for development of infrastructure and projects in the country. Constro 2000 conference was inaugurated by Mr. G.V. Ramakrishna, Chairman, Construction Industry Development Council at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on February 29, 2000.

Constro 2000, the Millennium’s Mega show of Construction Industry was inaugurated by Smt. Sheela Dikshit, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi on 1^st March 2000 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

A wide range of construction Equipment, Machinery & Building Materials were on display at Constro 2000 viz: - Concreting equipment, vaccum dewatering system, plastering machines, crane, dumper, concrete mining & batching plant etc.

 The Council actively participated in both the Conference and Exhibition.  The dignatories and professionals visited the Exhibition and lauded the work done by the Council.  Resource persons were provided by the Council at the Conference and the presentations made by the Council Staff were well received by the delegates.
