Bharat Innovates 2026, is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at showcasing India’s emerging deep-tech startups and next-generation innovations from the higher education and research ecosystem to a global audience comprising investors, industry leaders, universities, and research institutions with the objective of building long-term collaborations and positioning India as a "World Innovation Partner".
Bharat Innovates 2026 is being organised from 14-16 June2026 al Nice, France, and is expected to be inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the President of France, H.E. Emmanuel Macron, on 14th June 2026'
Around 120 high-potential startups have been selected through a rigorous national process, spanning across 13 key sectors, such as Advanced computing, semiconductors, Energy, sustainability and climate change, smart cities and Mobility, Advanced Materials, Rare-earth & Critical Minerals, space & Defence, Blue Economy, Next-Generation Communications, Manufacturing & Industry 4.0, Agri & Food Technologies, Disaster Management & Resilient Infrastructure, and Healthcare, Medtech and Biotechnology.
The two-and-a-half-day programme will have curated startup showcases, investor interactions, panel discussions, leadership sessions and other engagements of national importance, emphasizing India's progress in innovation, research, entrepreneurship and policies of the Ministry of Education and the Government of India to create an enabling startup ecosystem, to the visiting global leaders, CEOs, industries, institutions and innovators from around the world.
